About AEDS 2017

The University of New South Wales is honoured to host the Asian Engineering Deans Summit (AEDS) 2017 and look forward to welcoming distinguished Deans of Engineering to Sydney, Australia.

Engineering Schools and Faculties globally are facing new challenges, opportunities and expectations. These require us to serve the future needs of engineering students, businesses and societies in a rapidly changing world. The AEDS is a platform to discuss these important topics related to engineering education and research.

Professor Mark Hoffman

FTSE, BEng (Mech) (Hons) (Syd), PhD (Syd), MBT (UNSW)

Professor Mark Hoffman has been Dean of UNSW's Faculty of Engineering since 2015. Prior to his appointment he was the University’s Pro Vice-Chancellor (Research) and also held positions of Associate Dean (Research) in the Faculty of Science and Head of its School for Materials Science and Engineering for six years.
